Oracle 9i installation on HP UX 11.11 v1

I am trying to install Oracle 9i on HP UX 11.11. I installed vncserver on the Server and the vncclient on my system. The vncserver is running. But on typing the server IP with the port on the vnc client, it says connection refused.

Can I use any other Xwindows sw . If anyone has an experince with VNC please mention how I could proceed with the installation.

"connection refused" meesage is usually indicative of a firewall blockage. Seldom, it may be a refusal of request due to /var/adm/inetd.sec rules on the hpux server but since I am not sure if VNC server is an inetd initiated service or not, I am not able to comment on that. But if I were you, I would talk to the firewall admins first.

Also i would prefer to use Exceed or Xmanager whichever is available to install Oracle.

Check 1) Encryption Type used by your server
2) Authentication type in your server.
3) Any firewalls blocking ?

Also, Oracle 9i installation on HP UX 11.11 v1 as a subject for this question is strange...
