Need help 5 Node cluster

Hi Experts,

In the 5 Node Configuration the Priority of packages as below.

And capacity as below.

Our plan is to remove the node2 and node4 from the Cluster.

We want to confirm any changes need to modify for the clustrer configuration file and package configuration file regarding capacity and weight.

From Cluster configuration file

CAPACITY_NAME C_DB_capacity

CAPACITY_VALUE 100

For PKG1 configuration file

priority 10

weight_name C_DB_capacity

weight_value 100

Please confirm the below steps are fine.

1.Use the following command to store a current copy of the existing cluster configuration in a

temporary file:

cmgetconf -c C__DB /tmp/temp.ascii

2. Specify the new set of nodes to be configured (omitting isy00201 and isy00401) and generate a template

of the new configuration:

cmquerycl -C clconfig.ascii -c C_DB -n node1 -n node3 –n node5

3. Edit the file clconfig.ascii to check the information about the nodes that remain in the

4. Halt the node you are going to remove (node2 node4):

stop package PKG2, and Halt Node node2

stop package PKG4 and Halt Node node4

cmhaltnode -f -v node2

5. Verify the new configuration:

cmcheckconf -C clconfig.ascii

6. From node1 or node3, apply the changes to the configuration and distribute the new

binary configuration file to all cluster nodes.:

cmapplyconf -C clconfig.ascii
