VLAN Tagging

We have a bunch of rp3440, rp440, rp7410, and rp7420 servers. Our backup LAN which we run out of the internal LAN port on each server is on a few different subnets.
Our networking group is asking we if this port on the servers will support VLAN Tagging?? and not being a network person familiar with this I wasn't sure, so hence my question..
Can we do VLAN Tagging on this LAN port and besides the switch changes, what would we need on the HPUX side, and additional software and/or configuration ??

I haven't done this myself so I won't be much help beyond pointing you to some info.

There's a whitepaper there that mentioned vlan tagging and it sounds like you can do it on hp-ux w/ a patch. So check out that link with the white paper and good luck!
