Hi plse let me know wether i CAN use vxfs snapshot from a filesystem which is under the control of LVM.

Kindly send me the procedure for that.Wether I need any estra disks also

Hi:

Yes, the VxFS snapshot facility most certainly works for LVM based filesystems.

You _do_ need the OnlineJFS component (license) for this value-add, though.

You need a filesystem for the snapshot. A good guide is here:
