boot information

i have an itanium and parisc servers.which has vxvm instead of lvm and vxfs.the box has 2 disks and they are mirrored.want to make sure both the boxes are correctly configured as veritas bootable disks.but when i do vmvmboot -v the disk name - i dont get anything. can any one know the procedure to make these disks as bootable disks

Shalom,

lvlnboot -v

It does not require a disk name. It check the system and displays all of this information.

If there is a variance with HP-UX 11.31, I don't recall.

lvlnboot -v is the command to see boot disk area.

Yes, lvlnboot is not valid for VxVM.

One of the ways for VxVM:

# vxdg bootdg

# vxdg list rootdg

Note that boot data group does not have to
have name "rootdg" anymore.

These are part of my tests for VxVM and LVM
based HP-UX servers:
