Unfortunately, the bflusher program failed to report the name of the file or directory it was trying to use. It may have been creating a file, filled the filesystem, then removed the file as it terminated. Other than looking in syslog.log to see if there is a "no space on device" message, about all you can do is to regularly monitor bdf while the process is running to see what is happening to your filesystems.

Hi,

A process locked up our HP-9000 K460 server, running HP-UX 10.20, and now we're getting a "bflusher: no more space on device" error. We ran the bdf command, and none of our volumes are even close to being full. What can we clear up to fix this error?

Thanks,

Matt Rieman
matt.rieman@invensys.com

hi,
try using top command and search for the specified process whether it is blocking the
queue. And whether it is a zombie process now.
did you try rebooting the server once ?.

regards,
U.SivaKumar
