Hi

To add a route your system need to know how to
access your gateway. I think this message
signified you have no route to access the
gateway (10.1.1.20). You can test with ping :

ping 10.1.1.20

If you have no results you have to add a route
to access your gateway and after add your new
route. If this gateway is on you local physical
network add a route for lan0 or if you can
access it by your default gw verify you have
a default route on your system.

I think the better way to resolve your problem
si to join the result of your netstat -rn (ie
previous reply from Laurent)

Regards,

Herv?

Your machine doesn't know how to get to the 10.1.1.20 gateway. You need to define default route or a router that knows about you 10.1.1 subnet.

Robin
