Hi All..

I've just installed the Samba Server version 2.0.9 and I'm experiencing a problem with /etc. This directory should not be shared but it is being shared.I've checked all configuration and didn't found out nothing wrong. If someone can help me I would appreciated a lot.
Thanks
Halan Leno
Halan

You seem to have "guest ok = yes" in the global settings - try moving this down to each of the shares rather than global.

Nick Wickens;

I have only the guest ok = yes on global setting section, in some ones I have guest account = xxx, defined in other not. Should I make some change on the other sections?

Thanks

Halan Leno

If you have guest ok = yes in global it will apply to all shares so you need to remove it. I can't say for certain that it will clear your problem but I prefer to put such options in the shares rather than global which is a bit insecure really.
