Hi Siddesh,

You might want to consider applying DNS-related patches on your server. Was there anything in syslog.log?

Regards,

Isralyn

Hi Siddesh,

Do you get any errors in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log? Or any core files?

What version are you running?

$ what /usr/sbin/named

If you dont have the latest version of bind I would suggest downloading and installing it from software.hp.com there have been several fixes for abort situations. You can update bind 9.2 to its latest revision w/ out making any configuration changes and w/ out rebooting. You should restart named.

You can find the defects/fixes listed here:

http://www.docs.hp.com/en/5991-0759/ch04s03.html

Hope that helps,

Todd
