What the essential/critical filesystems for restoring a base 11.11 platform? I am thinking /stand, /, /swap, and /usr. Is this correct?

What you want to do?

IMHO all in vg00, including /stand / /var /opt /usr

Just stand up a base 11.11 machine if need be from ignite tape. I will go with /, stand, /var, /opt, /home, /usr, /tmp. I think that should cover the essentials

If you backup the entire vg00 with ignite, you will restore the entire vg00 by default - where is the problem?

Use the -inc_entire option:

make_tape_recovery -a /dev/rmt/0mn -I -x inc_entire=vg00

That way you will have everything you need to recover with.

No problem, I just want a list of the filesystems I absolutely need to restore an 11.11 server to a manageable condtion.
