      <description>i have extended the lv but getting error while extending file system.&lt;BR /&gt;==================================&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/vg_BUSI/lvol1 58212352 58207030    5322  100% /pkg/BUSI/dbs&lt;BR /&gt;=====================================&lt;BR /&gt;XXXXXXXX:root:/&amp;gt; fsadm -F vxfs -b 57348m /pkg/BUSI/dbs&lt;BR /&gt;fsadm: /dev/vg_BUSI/rlvol1 is currently 58212352 sectors - size will be increased&lt;BR /&gt;=========================================&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>this is not an error.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;check this&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#vgdisplay -v /dev/vg_BUSI|more&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and check the file system you want to increase is happen or not?</description>

      <description>Hi Sunil,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; Your command&lt;BR /&gt;fsadm -F vxfs -b 57348m /pkg/BUSI/dbs&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;From Lvdisplay  (The command worked)&lt;BR /&gt;LV Size (Mbytes) 57348&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;See the Utilization of the filesystem ,&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/vg_BUSI/lvol1 58212352 58207030 5322 100% /pkg/BUSI/dbs&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You have 15 GB free PE availabe on vg_BUS,do extend the size of the lvol1 by another 5 or 10 GB (depends on your requirement ) and extend your filesystem online since you have online JFS&lt;BR /&gt;# lvextend -L new_size_mb /dev/vg_BUSI/lvol1&lt;BR /&gt;# fsadm -F vxfs -b "new_size"M /dev/vg_BUSI/lvol1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regds,&lt;BR /&gt;Aneesh</description>

      <description>Hi Sunial,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;--&amp;gt; fsadm: /dev/vg_BUSI/rlvol1 is currently 58212352 sectors - size will be increased&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You have done absolutely fine, no error message which using the fsadm, its normal behavior of fsadm.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As per the vgdisplay output you have 3788 free PE's and you PE size is 4MB so that means you have 4x3788=15152MB space free and you can extend it on your desired level.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://docs.hp.com/en/B2355-90129/fsadm_vxfs.1M.html" target="_blank"&gt;http://docs.hp.com/en/B2355-90129/fsadm_vxfs.1M.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Asif Sharif</description>
