For creating file systems:

From the "newfs" man page -- "Current valid Fstype values are: hfs and vxfs for the HFS and JFS (VxFS) file systems, respectively."

If you are trying to mount different file systems:

See the appropriate man pages for the various types -- mount_cachefs(1M), mount_cdfs(1M), mount_hfs(1M), mount_lofs(1M),
mount_nfs(1M), mount_vxfs(1M),

These both assume you haven't purchased a 3rd party volume manager like Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM), in which case you would also have the file system type appropriate for it.

Yes, those are all applicable to 11i v1 and 11i v2 as well.
