Hi !

I have problems with CIFS running on 11.00 accessing Windows 2000 servers.
Windows servers are generating files on "shares" and Unixes are reading those files. It often happens that a Unix server doesn't see new files. Just accessing directory with either explorer or cmd on windows side will make file appear on Unix side.

I can't tell wether it's a CIFS or windows problem.

Have someone here already had a similar problem ? How to solve ?

Regards,

Fred
Hi Fred,

Yup, that's a really old version you're running! The latest version is available from http://software.hp.com - I'd recommend that you install this and see if you still observe the same problem.

regards,

Darren.

That is the solution I was trying not to apply. It's a critical point on my servers and this upgrade is a little bit frightening...

As I can't go without, I will probably upgrade in a near future.

Thanks,

Fred
