FTAM product for HPUX 11.23

Hi all,

I have been told by HP that FTAM bundle for 11.11 can be installed on HPUX 11.23. But I was unable to install with error since it is checking for lots of dependencies. Now I could not see any files related to FTAM in /etc/rc.config.d/ftam

also osiadmin I am not able to select the FTAM.
My Question is,

1. Did any one able to install the FTAM bundle in HPUX 11.23 using 11.11 application CD?
2. Is there any special procedure to install or any patches are there ?
3.If any one need further information to help me , free to write to me

Hi,

1. The software is called B1033B and you will need a codeword to install it.
If you bought it you must have a license certificate. ( that does not help you ) You will need a codeword and an custemor ident.
You can obtain that by faxing a form ( must have been attached to the certificate or) Or e-mail the ordernumber to the email adress provided. I do not know it is something like europe-codewords@hp.com for me)

2. The installation procedure is in the link provided, and i searched the patch database on ftam and noting turned up, so i do not think you need per/post patches.

Hi Gideon,

Thanks for your reply. But I was using the code word also able to use install the product with error messages.

it installs only few filesets like
/opt/ftam/lib, shlib etc.

I could not see configuration file /etc/rc.config.d/ftam etc. As Per HP we can install and it will work.

If you have any clue, please reply.

I was able to install, after unchecking following options

Autoselect dependencies
allow to install incompatible software
