I have different Workstation running hpux(most), aix, solaris and SuSE.

I checked the connection via telnet on Port 25 from my SP smtp.1und1.com to find out the authentication procedure.

Therefore I checked with SuSE the user and password etc. Finding out if there is any problem.

I have many problems to unterstand the implementation / configuration from sendmail.

I need a "step by step" description to setup the sendmail client.

Best Regards
Reinhold

Here are some possbiltities.
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Sendmail-Address-Rewrite.html

Though this question should be posted on Linux, sendmail is pretty generic. If hp moves it though don't be surprised.

http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Sendmail+UUCP.html

Best candidate
http://postfix.state-of-mind.de/patrick.koetter/smtpauth/

http://info.ccone.at/INFO/Mail-Archives/redhat/Jan-2002/msg02934.html

http://www.exim.org/pipermail/exim-users/Week-of-Mon-20030224/050458.html

Good Luck,

SEP
