Crash files analysis - important pls

Hi gentlemen,

I am trying to analyze my crash dump files. I have not been successful enough to get some reasonable response from HP too.

Can someone pls guide me to the issue of this crash. Previously this system crashed twice and processor 2 was replaced (0 to 4).

I am listing a stack trace and panic error for your reference. Pls let me know if any other doc is needed.

Did you trying to analyse crash dump? Did you use q4 for that?

What where you doing before the crash.
Could have something to do with vxfs or nfs ?

On second thought, I would check for patches like lvm/vxfs, nfs and arpa streams.

Hey guys,

Don't worry about ur points. I shall assign plenty of them. But try to give me some important inputs, and when i say that i have attached my what.out file, it definitely means that i ran my Q4 scripts.

Request you to treat this as urgent and give me valuable input on analyzing my logs.I have run my Q4 scripts, and would like to know steps to analyze my logs correctly. I can see the error of processor 1 panicking in ana.out and what.out files.

Sorry if you guys felt bad, but i am just stuck here so i wrote a bit.

Well, the system has crashed 4 times now since last week. Previously there was a processor replacement as HP found proc 2 faulty. When the system crashed again i got processor 3 as panicking, but they were not sure.

Now it crashed again today morning, but still no concrete reason is available for it. That's why i asked the help of you knowledgeable guys more experienced than me.

Thanks for the inputs anyways. There is no patch problem as far as i know, as HP has checked out the patches list available in this what.out file.

Hi,

If this should be a hardware error, there should be something in the /var/tombstones/ts99 files about a HPMC error.

Possible other suggestion is to have HP the dump further analysed.

Thanks for the help. I have just found from the HP engineer that a new patch has come for this problem's resolution and this is related to NIS/NFS.

Hi,

Anil, that's what I mentioned in one of my earlier responses.
And you will find out that you need streams/arpa patches as well for this.
