I'k like to A server, ifconfig lan0 down, the the client can't ping the server. But the server still can ping by self. How to let server cann't ping the self while ifconfig lan0 down?

lan0 have bind two ipaddress.
How to unplumb only one ipaddress?

Do you mean lan0 and lan0:1

If you have assigned in such sequence do a

#ifconfig lan0:1 down
#ifconfig lan0:1 unplumb
