    <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For a greater explanation of the daemons associated with snmp, have a look at the man pages. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There are config files in /etc/rc.config.d that follow standard procedure during system boot up&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/etc/rc.config.d/SnmpMib2 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you have &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SNMP_MIB2_START=1      # Start the MIB2 SNMP Sub Agent.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To disable at boot simply change the 1 to a 0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Steve&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How do I disable the snmpd daemon from starting up at boot time for HP-UX 10.20?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any help would be great&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thanks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Andrew</description>

      <description>Hi Andrew,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Workaround for HP-UX Systems:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;    If a patch is not available for your platform or you cannot&lt;BR /&gt;    install an available patch, snmpd and snmpdm can be disabled&lt;BR /&gt;    by removing their entries from /etc/services and removing the&lt;BR /&gt;    execute permissions from /usr/sbin/snmpd and /usr/sbin/snmpdm.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Robert-Jan.</description>
