I'm having a problem with NFS mounts , resulting in the following message:

nfs mount: getaddr_nfs:
NFS service not responding(retry delay=5s).

Hi,

Do you have a port open for nfsd in /etc/services.

nfsd 2049/udp # NFS remote file system

Yes, I do have the nfsd entry in the services file.

are you using Nis or Nis+ ?

Have you installed latest NFS patches ?

Are you on 10.20 or 11.00 ?

We are not using NIS.O/S version 11.00.
Last NFS patch installed on server : PHNE_17586.
