Are you uptodate on these patches ?
- Cumulative ARPA transport patch
- LAN product cumulative patch
If not you may want to load them. What about on the switch or hub, has there been any changes in its setting ? I've seen the error before on my older machine (I70) and it was due to the CAT5 cable. How frequent does the error appear in your syslog.log (or dmesg) ?

Hi Maria,

As well as patches etc, you might also utilise the 'lanadmin' utility to see if there is anything significant in the way of late collisions packets etc. Check to make sure no changes have been done on your network ports in regards to auto-sensing/duplexing.

Cheers
Michael

hi,

thanks for getting back to me.

Ive been getting them quite often, which is concerning.

There have been no changes to the switch and the switch reports no error messages. So i am assuming that it is fine.

I haven't installed any patches as of yet. I will try that and see how i go.

cheers dude.
Maria
