lanadmin command problem

when I use command
lanadmin -S 100 it shows me menu like lanadmin -h
when type lanadmin it comes to tool.
How to change lan speed :(?

Try:
lanadmin -X spd_duplex ppa#,

ie: lanadmin -X 100FD 1

First, use lanscan to get the PPA#, i.e.
lanscan
Hardware Station Crd Hdw Net-Interface NM MAC HP-DLPI DLPI
Path Address In# State NamePPA ID Type Support Mjr#
10/16/8 0x080009DB2037 1 UP lan1 snap1 1 ETHER Yes 119
10/12/6 0x0060B006C443 0 UP lan0 snap0 2 ETHER Yes 119

There's two cards, the first is PPA# 0, the second is PPA# 1.

Then use lanadmin to set the appropriate PPA# to the speed desired.

One other thought - from man lanadmin:
For operations other than display, you must have superuser privileges.

You are doing this as root, aren't you?

Sorry, I got it backwards in my description of the lanscan output. The first card is PPA# 1 (identified by lan1), the second is PPA# 0 (lan0).

then:
root@smi:/> lanadmin -s 0
Speed = 10000000
I would like to change for ex 100FD
root@smi:/> lanadmin -S 100 0
Old Speed = 10000000
Unable to change speed: errno = 22
root@smi:/>
or
root@smi:/> lanadmin -S 1 0
Old Speed = 10000000
New Speed = 10000000
So it means that I can not change the speed?

What kind of hardware are we working with here? What's the server? What are the two network interface cards that we're seeing? It looks to me that you're trying to change the internal card (the one on the core I/O board) and I would expect that the additional card (lan1) is probably the 100MB capable card.

I'm stumped - it certainly looks like you should be able to change speeds but I don't know why it won't work (other than the guess about not doing it as root).

Im afraid but I have shown you all data from the system...
now lanadmin show 10000000...
its 10 Mbites/s.
I think I can change it to 100 am I right?

Have you tried configuring this through SAM?

Networking and Communications -> Network Interface Cards -> Actions - Configure?

I changed via sam... (usin X Client)
and connection closed. :(..
