    <description>but in /opt/ansic/tlinks&lt;BR /&gt;the files (C, C-TOOLS) are read-only...&lt;BR /&gt;and owner of the directory /opt/ansic is bin:bin&lt;BR /&gt;you should also have link in /usr/bin:&lt;BR /&gt;opt/ansic&amp;gt;which cc&lt;BR /&gt;/usr/bin/cc&lt;BR /&gt;lr-xr-xr-t   1 root       sys             17 Oct  7  1998 /usr/bin/cc -&amp;gt; /opt/ansic/bin/c&lt;BR /&gt;c&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards</description>

      <description>I have installed ansic in /opt/ansic/bin when I try to execute cc I receive an error of "execute permission denied."&lt;BR /&gt;I have tried this as 'root' and I still receive the message.&lt;BR /&gt;Any ideas on executing cc.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for any/all help.&lt;BR /&gt;Andy</description>

      <description>What are the perms?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you go into that directory and do a ./cc does it work?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are compiling, are you using the full PATH to the location? Is the location in the $PATH statement?</description>

      <description>do export PATH=$PATH:/opt/ansic/bin:/opt/ansic/lib (I'm not sure for the last one but you need the libs path as well.</description>
