    <description>Doing nfsstat -m, you are asking for server based performance information. May be the nfsserver (linux) are unable to provide you with such information ? I simpely&lt;BR /&gt;do not know the Linux NFS implementation good enough.&lt;BR /&gt;I may find the information&lt;BR /&gt;tomorrow.&lt;BR /&gt;You can a) see if&lt;BR /&gt;nfsstat -s &lt;LINUX server="" addr=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;will work (it will give you&lt;BR /&gt;server based statistics)&lt;BR /&gt;or try to mount a FS from an&lt;BR /&gt;HP-UX machine and see if it&lt;BR /&gt;work (I belive it will)&lt;BR /&gt;b) run rpcinfo -p &lt;LINIX serv=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and check you have all services aviable.&lt;BR /&gt;Br,&lt;BR /&gt;Johan&lt;/LINIX&gt;&lt;/LINUX&gt;</description>

      <title>NFS  Read/Write  issue when nfsstat -m</title>

      <description>Hi Guys,&lt;BR /&gt;I have set-up like NFS server is my ( Linux bax) /etc/exports looks like below&lt;BR /&gt;/nfs3      192.168.1.53(rw)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;client side (HP) HP-Ux 11.0 N class&lt;BR /&gt;/etc/fstab as below&lt;BR /&gt;192.168.1.51:/nfs3 /test nfs rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=30,rw,suid,hard,bg 0 2&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;nfs file system get mounted but even server has given Read/write (rw) option, Client side nfsstat -m show below&lt;BR /&gt;/test from 192.168.1.51:/nfs3  (Addr 192.168.1.51)&lt;BR /&gt; Flags:   vers=3,proto=udp,auth=unix,hard,intr,link,symlink,devs,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,retrans=5&lt;BR /&gt; All:     srtt=  0 (  0ms), dev=381 (1905ms), cur=190 (3800ms)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;it does't show Read/Write access like &lt;BR /&gt;example :-&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;Lookups: srtt=  7 ( 17ms), dev=  3 ( 15ms), cur=  2 ( 40ms)&lt;BR /&gt; Reads:   srtt= 14 ( 35ms), dev=  7 ( 35ms), cur=  5 (100ms)&lt;BR /&gt; Writes:  srtt= 21 ( 52ms), dev=  6 ( 30ms), cur=  5 (100ms)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;also On server side /var/lib/nfs/xtab&lt;BR /&gt;show as access is read/write as below&lt;BR /&gt;/nfs3   192.168.1.53(rw,async,wdelay,hide,secure,root_squash,no_all_squash,subtree_check,secure_locks,mapping=identity,anonuid=-2,anongid=-2)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Anything I am missing on server side ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks in advance&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sanjay&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
