Cannot create lvol of 2TB

Hi,

I have a system running 11.23 integrity. I have created a vg with extend size of 32MB. And now trying to create a lvol of 1.9GB but it create lvol of only 1 Tb

Is there any patch for this or am i missing something.

when you create this vg what is your extent's size?

#vgcreate -e

Assuming 19.GB as 1.9TB

AFIK 11.23 does not support logical volumes greater then 2TB in size.

As you are trying to create a 1.9TB volume it should work. Not sure whether a patch is available.

what is your "Max PE per PV" value?

It would be default as we did not defined it.. while creating VG

without defining it in large values, its not allowed to create such kind of large lvol.

Post the output of "vgdisplay -v" for the volume group in question.

Well I am not at site right now so cannot get output of vg right now.

It says the Max Extents per PV default for version 1.0 is 1016, so that's 32 Gb.
You would need 64K to get 2 Tb.
You may want a larger extent size and larger max extents.

Please provide the command you are running for creating LV of 1.9GB
