securepath has been installed on my HPUX 11.23 box.and we created veritas diskgroup with virtual device file.Now we 'd like to try to uninstall securepath.
The steps would be

1.deport diskgroup
2.uninstall securepath
3.import diskgroup

My question is :
Can I import diskgroup directly without any configuration after uninstalling securepath?
It will work?

After uninstalling securepath, you should be able to just do:

vxdctl enable
vxdg import

it shoudl work if imported with vgid as the secure path installation does not alter vgid

could please explain how vxvm work when it try to import some diskgroup.

I found the following infomation about diskgroup,such as ,diskid,hostid,groupid

What about those id 's function?
