Remove unavailble disk from volumegroup in 11.11

Hi Gurus!

Ive got a volumegroup, vg09, with two physical disks in. All lvol's are mirrored.

One of disk is no longer available, /dev/dsk/c38t0d1, and I dont need the mirror. However, I cant remove the unavailable from the lvol's or the volumegroup:

# lvreduce -m 0 /dev/vg09/lvol1 /dev/dsk/c38t0d1
Logical volume "/dev/vg09/lvol1" has been successfully reduced.

...but it never returns, just hangs.

Any ideas?

Best resource for any disk failures.

The HP website for this doc was unavail.
