    <description>Hello Randy,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) exists in the versions:&lt;BR /&gt;- v1 (oldest, universally available, insecure)&lt;BR /&gt;- v2 (old, alomst never available, more secure)&lt;BR /&gt;- v2C (slightly younger, insecure, available)&lt;BR /&gt;- v3 (not yet finished, secure)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;On HP-UX the SNMP-agents do *speak* SNMPv1 and SNMPv2C, and there is an add-on tool for NNM (Network Node Manager) to make it *speak* SNMPv3.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SMI (Structure of Management Information) is something that every SNMPagent should understand (and does)!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH,&lt;BR /&gt;Wodisch&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>what is the version of SNMP running on &lt;BR /&gt;10.20&lt;BR /&gt;11.00&lt;BR /&gt;11.11&lt;BR /&gt;????&lt;BR /&gt;Also, has anyone heard of SMI support?? (I don't know what it is...)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Looking for a clue.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;Randy</description>
