Remote Printer

When printing in a remote printer it generates the following error:
pcontab-0 root priority 0 Jan 21 15:46 on pcontab passwd 4195 bytes to printer queue for pcontab rmcven02: waiting for alreyven to come up

It remains in spooler and it does not print anything. The remote printer this with hpux 10,20 and in where it is wanted to set this with 11.00

Some service or file exists to verify this configuration, other / etc/services

Hi,

From rmcven02, check that:
1) you can ping alreyven

# ping alreyven

2) you can telnet to printer port on alreyven and get connected.

# telnet alreyven 515

Also, to double ensure, perform the following:

# enable pcontab
# accept pcontab

Also enable and accept on the remote print server.
