    <description>ALthough 9.x is completely unsupported and not Y2K safe (which begs the question: Why worry about the time/date?), you can get an unofficial patch for 9.x at:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ftp://contrib:9unsupp8@hprc.external.hp.com/sysadmin/ntp.9x&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As always, standard disclaimers: your mileage may vary, 3 out 4 doctors prescribe this to their patients, ALGOL programmers need not apply, swim at your own risk....</description>

      <description>you might try &lt;A href="http://www.ntp.org." target="_blank"&gt;www.ntp.org.&lt;/A&gt; getting xntpd to run on 9.x invovled a bit more than just compile and run as I recall as there was no adjtime() system call, but with any luck all the directions remain in the distribution.</description>
