C160 Problem when connected to a switch

My company has two C160. We disconnected both from a hub and connected them to a Cisco 1900 Switch.
Now one of them is ok, but the other not. If I ping other workstation on the network it works for a time and then it interrupts, losing many packets and then some time after it, the answer come back.
The netconf is exactly equal (save for the Ip), and I tested the cable and the switch port.
I think the problems is the NIC, but I'm not sure yet.
Can somebody help me?

Does it experience the problem when connected to the hub? If not then I would suspect the switch configuration. Have you tried other ports on the switch or placed the good box on the port where the problem box is? Have you searched for or applied any patches?

Just a few thoughts to help troubleshoot.

Hi Andre,

Looke like a problem with the switch configuration. If the NIC's on the system are 100MBPS on the system set the port on switch to fixed 100MBPS, full duplex, no autosensing. IF the NIC is 10 MBPS, set the port on switch to fixed 10MBPS, half duplex, no autosensing.

Andre, take a look at the display from lanadmin (#lanadmin >> lan >> display) on the second page. If you have FCS and alignment errors, then there is probably a duplex mismatch between the switch and the lan card. If the switch is set for 100FD and autonegotiation is off, then the card will not be able to sense the fast link pulses and will set to 100HD, the default. Half duplex uses the carrier detection protocol, therefore there will be collision statistics.
