FTP Large Files

When large files are being FTP we get a connection close service unavailable error message. Is there a file size limitation when using FTP? Are there any configurable paramters that I need to change? Any other suggestion you provide will be appreciated?

Hi:

'ftp' itself has no inherent limitations on the size of a file it can transfer.

However, the destination platform may impose disk quotas or not have 'largefile' support enabled, causing premature termination of transfer.

Some firewalls, too, will disallow transfers exceeding a defined size.

Hi

File over 2 Gbyte can cause problems unless large file are enabled on your server.

Does it time out after a fixed time ?
