Error While Using Spray

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to use spray to test another machine and I get this error:

Aurora:root:/:=> spray voivod
sending 1162 packets of lnth 86 to voivod ...
SPRAYPROC_CLEAR RPC: Program not registered

Never saw this before as it works on all my other boxes. Any ideas? This is an 11.00 machine. Many thanks in advance.

Hi John,

On the machine where you have a problem,
edit the /etc/inetd.conf and remove the comment before
rpc dgram udp wait root /usr/lib/netsvc/spray/rpc.sprayd 100012 1 rpc.sprayd

save the file and then issue "inetd -c"

Hi, also make sure you make the same change on the target machine or you will get the same error. Hope this helps.
