topic snoop? in Operating System - HP-UX

Is there an HPUX 11 command similar to Sun's snoop? What about an aftermarket utility? We make ocean survey systems and recently began using HP workstations as operator stations. I need to be able to view udp datagrams between the instruments.

Hi,
HP supplies nettl to collect raw packet traffic and netfmt to format it.
See HP nettl / netfmt tip sheet for taking network trace. You can find this in ITRC Document KBRC00001357 and KBRC00001272
There's also an interactive tool called nettladm which is a wrapper above nettl/netfmt.

Also check out www.tcpdump.org for tcpdump.

Hope all this helps,

-> Brian Hackley
