Hi Team:

We are running 10.20 and had a rpc error in one of
our servers last week. This has been happening for
quite some time. HP recommended removing
/var/statmon/sm.bak directory. Under that dir. i found
a node name.Under /var/statmon/sm i found lot of node
names. In /var/statmon/sm.bak directory i found a file
dated june 20 and the nodename as the name of the
file. What is the significance of this.Does it mean
that all the files under /var/statmon/sm are the
nfsclients? and the file under /var/statmon/sm.bak is
the node that was responsible for the rpc problem?
also can i assume that the timestamp on that file is
time of the rpc error? Can someone help me understand
this situation please. Thanks and i will summarize.

Regards.
Brian
