The man pages are now included in 11i

Normally I'd say search docs.hp.com for it, but that site seems to be down at the moment.

If you can be patient you should find the man page in the 1m section of the man pages for 11i

HTH

Duncan

John,

When you don't get a hit from a standard man search try
whereis command
This will return ALL the possible man pages & importantly WHICH man section
Then you can specify the section in the man command.
You can also do
man -k command
to do the same thing & has the added benefit of showing ANY command which may contain the command name within it.

HTH,
Jeff

Hi John:

You can find it in www.docs.hp.com ( unfortunately there is some problem with the site now). Search for this word and it will give you the man pages.

This command is in the /usr/lbin directory and is intended for backends to commands in the /usr hierarchy. This is why HP has not documented it. If you are using 11i, then there might be a man page for this command.

HTH,
Shiju

I've never found help on this. Have a play with an account that doesn't matter and then take a look at the sam log : /var/sam/log/samlog

Or tail -f /var/sam/log/samlog in one window and use sam in another.

These are the commands I use :-

(Unlocks the account)
#
# /usr/lbin/modprpw -k username

(Resets the password)
#
# /usr/lbin/modprpw -x username
admnum=480

The user will be prompted for this number when they next log in.

Good luck,

Dave.

John,

You can try this sequence:

1) /usr/lbin/getprpw -l -r -m lockout <USER_ID>
2) /usr/lbin/modprpw -l -x <USER_ID>

I got these commands from the SAM log after having reactivated a user using SAM.

Hope this helps.

Hai</USER_ID></USER_ID>
