Convert to Large File System for Database File

If i want to convert to large file system, the steps taken are like in the thread, but will my current data reside in the server lost?

Hi,

Current data will still be there. But a backup won't hurt you.

Almond,

Looking the thread you mentioned,
If you will do newfs, data is certain to be lost as it creates the new file system.
Only the fsadm step is the one which can be performed online.

Though not mandatory, if you are using fsadm, backup is anytime good.
