VA7400 paths

I installed a SAN Switch between VA7400 disk arrays and the server. I had to export the VGs and recreate the device files and etc. All of that went OK. However, I noticed that the paths for the disk array controllers are on the same path. Do you know how I can change them?

I have attached a listing of all of the disks on the system. Note the paths of the VA7400 Array Controllers. Is this going to be a problem? Can anyone tell me what I did wrong?

BTW- I realize that the switch is a SPOF.

Is this only 1 VA and 1 Switch?
You have 4 HBAs.

I'm curious about infos like this:

1/0/14/1/0.1.20.39.0.0.1 8 LVM vgar04 25600 HP SureStore Virtual Array 7400 LUN 1

1/0/2/1/0.1.22.39.0.0.1 8 LVM vgar03 20480 HP SureStore Virtual Array 7400 LUN 1

Same LUN, different size, different VG?

Can you tell us about the switch connections and zoning as well? Something like
server HBA1 to switch port ?
server HBA2 to switch port ?
...
VA7400 ctrl A to switch port ?
VA7400 ctrl B to switch port ?

and what ports did you zone on the switch?

What about the redundancy groups in the VA and the LUNs that belong to them. They must match the path upward to the server HBA as the primary path.

Two Disk arrays

HBA 1 -Switch Port 1
HBA 2 -Switch Port 2
HBA 3 -Switch Port 3
HBA 4 -Switch Port 4

VA 1/ Ctrl 1- Switch Port 5
VA 1/ Ctrl 2- Switch Port 6
VA 2/ Ctrl 1- Switch Port 7
VA 2/ Ctrl 2- Switch Port 8

No Zoning config yet. I was trying to do this a step at a time. Maybe I should have Zoned first?

Redundancy Groups match the LUNs' primary path.

I'm still not sure about your question. I think I don't understand.

I see only 3 controllers - where is the forth?
Did you get the listing by "vxdisk"?

Try the commands I posted earlier + an armtopology. This will clarify the situation a bit.

Without any zoning you should not see any LUNs on the servers. Is it possible that there is an old zoning config on the switch?

You need to get the new zoning in place before you can start using the LUNs.

I guess I did not really understand the question and the problem, but it seems to be solved now. How?
