    <description>You have to set the variable to the type of terminal you are using.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Most PC based emulators use vt100, in this case do&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;export TERM=vt100&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;but better check the setting of your terminal (emulator).</description>

      <description>Hi Guys,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am on single user mode then I tried to run th evi command when I had this error "I don't know what kind of terminal you are on - all I have is 'unknown'. How can I change the terminal type so that I could edit the file?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;-jef</description>
