    <description>Venkat,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1) What is the size of /usr?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2) when did it becom 99% full?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3) run "ls -ld /usr/tmp" which should show /usr/tmp is linked to /var/tmp.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;4) run "du -sk /usr/local" and post us the output.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;5) Is is true that you installed the hardware before Sun. 4/14?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;6) run "find /usr -type f -name core | xargs ll" to detect core files and their sizes if any.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In anyway, you should not leave your /usr at 99% full, you either try to find the gabbage and get rid of it or increas the size /usr.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hai</description>

      <description>Hi Venkat:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The syslog.log file shows the install failed because of dependencies. Did you install the dependency patches too ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When you download any patch, click on the dependency menu and find out those patches too. You have to install these patches when you apply the base patch.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH,&lt;BR /&gt;Shiju</description>

      <description>Hi venkat:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Did you check for any hardware errors ? any HPMC errors ? You can check the hardware with stm tools. Also if you get a crash dump, then you can send it for analysis. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also you can try loading the latest QPK and HWE patches from the support plus media or from HP ITRC site. Download the latest one - March 2002, both QPK and HWE and install it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also when getting the above swinstall errors ( dependency cannot be resolved) you can set the option "enforce_dependencies=false" ; however it is not recommended. You can set this option either in the swinstall menu or in command line:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# swinstall x enforce_dependencies=false ...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HTH,&lt;BR /&gt;Shiju</description>
