Hi All,

How to solve the below vxdisk list comamnd error ?

coronet# vxdisk list
vxvm:vxdisk: ERROR: Cannot get records from vxconfigd: Record not in disk group
coronet# ps -ef | grep vx
root 35 0 0 12:53:20 ? 0:00 vxfsd
root 474 0 0 12:53:30 console 0:00 vxglmd
root 476 0 0 12:53:30 console 0:00 vxgmsd
root 1775 1 0 12:55:02 ? 0:00 vxconfigd -d

Ensured vxconfigd is running. any hints on how to solve this ?

Try running a
# vxdctl enable
# vxdisk list

How to change the TYPE of the disk from "simple" to other type :

corniche# vxdisk list
DEVICE TYPE DISK GROUP STATUS
c1t15d0 simple - - LVM
c3t15d0 simple disk01 rootdg online
c5t0d1 simple - - online
c5t0d2 simple - - online
c5t0d3 simple - - online

vxdisk init type=disk_type
