      <description>Hi, I am trying to extend a logical volume, getting the following error on 11.23&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvextend -L 11000 /dev/vg_ap/lvken1&lt;BR /&gt;lvextend: Not enough free physical extents available.&lt;BR /&gt;Logical volume "/dev/vg_ap/lvken1" could not be extended.&lt;BR /&gt;Failure possibly caused by strict allocation policy&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You don't have enough free physical extents in your volume group to satisfy the request.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Your PE size is 4MB and you have 1058 free extents.  With the 1500 already allocated to 'lvken1':&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;( 1500 + 1058 ) = 10,232 &amp;lt; 11,000&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;...JRF...</description>

      <description>Thanks, I added disks through the EVA.&lt;BR /&gt;I got 4 new disks in the old &amp;amp; new ioscan output&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;pvcreate /dev/rdsk/c11t1d4&lt;BR /&gt;Physical volume "/dev/rdsk/c11t1d4" has been successfully created.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgextend /dev/vg_ap /dev/dsk/c1t1d4 /dev/dsk/c3t1d4 /dev/dsk/c9t1d4&lt;BR /&gt;vgextend: Warning: Max_PE_per_PV for the volume group (1024) too small for this PV (1279).&lt;BR /&gt;         Using only 1024 PEs from this physical volume.&lt;BR /&gt;Current path "/dev/dsk/c3t0d3" is an alternate link, skip.&lt;BR /&gt;Current path "/dev/dsk/c3t0d5" is an alternate link, skip.&lt;BR /&gt;Current path "/dev/dsk/c3t0d7" is an alternate link, skip.&lt;BR /&gt;Current path "/dev/dsk/c9t1d3" is an alternate link, skip.&lt;BR /&gt;Current path "/dev/dsk/c11t1d3" is an alternate link, skip.&lt;BR /&gt;Volume group "/dev/vg_ap" has been successfully extended.&lt;BR /&gt;Volume Group configuration for /dev/vg_ap has been saved in /etc/lvmconf/vg_ap.conf&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvextend -L 11000 /dev/vg_ap/lvken1&lt;BR /&gt;lvextend: Not enough free physical extents available.&lt;BR /&gt;Logical volume "/dev/vg_ap/lvken1" could not be extended.&lt;BR /&gt;Failure possibly caused by strict allocation policy&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can you please tell me how can I extend the lv.
