HPUX Hosting?

Good Afternoon,

I'm trying to find a provider who has HPUX hosting services. Looking to do some development on HPUX and the only real requirement is to have root on the box to have perl, gcc etc. If anyone can recommend a provider, would very much appreciate it.

You need to be "root" to use GCC or perl?

If you're porting a commercial app to HP-UX, you should talk to your local HP rep, as we have services to make kit available to developers for exactly this kind of thing.

Thank you guys for the responses.

I've explored all your suggestions. Think the easiest and quickest thing to do is to get an old hp9000 box. Needed root because the software is going to be developed for HPUX itself.

good plan, but consider that some of the older HP9000 systems won't run the latest versions of HP-UX (not sure if that matters to you or not). I'd always advise anyone doing HP-UX development now to do it for 11iv3, rather than the older versions.

Thank you Duncan, I ended up purchasing a HP9000 Visualize C3750 with 11i v1. Wanted to have the backwards compatibility of the older versions of the OS.
