topic SCRDAEMON process in Operating System - HP-UX

SCRDAEMON process

Hi,

In my Glance-Plus software if I drill down to "process list" I am finding a process called "srcdaemon" which is continuously utilizing cpu utilization of about 99%.

Request if anyone of you can focus on this issue.

Can I shutdown / stop the SCRDAEMON . What I am going to suffer if do this?

hi,
There will be no problem if you disable srcdaemon.
to disable scrdaemon
#vi /etc/rc.config.d/scrdaemon
SCRDAEMON=0
reboot once

Unless you are actually using SCM (Service Control Manager), then you can safely turn off/halt that process.
