      <title>Problem removing a volume..!!!!</title>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I need to remove a extra volume which is in disabled state as:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vxprint -v shows:&lt;BR /&gt;v  dbdumps_NBt  fsgen        DISABLED 251658240 -       NEEDSYNC -       -&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Volume is in NEEDSYNC state.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When i run the command &lt;BR /&gt;vxedit -f -r -g ossdg rm dbdumps_NBt &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i get the error as:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ERROR code 13 &lt;BR /&gt;Problem removing dbdumps_NBt! &lt;BR /&gt;vxedit -f -r -g ossdg rm dbdumps_NBt &lt;BR /&gt;VxVM vxedit ERROR V-5-1-1242 Volume dbdumps_NBt is opened, cannot remove&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pls help if how can i remove this volume.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Can you try resyncing the volume to get it out of NEEDSYNC?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then you might be able to stop the volume and remove it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You could check the man page for vxvol.  You could try a forced resync or stop on the volume.</description>
