Errors rx3600 slow

Dear All

I have rx3600 server which have 6x146GB HDDs; configured with 2 RAID1 for OS and 4xRIAD5 for application use ; this server is a testing running oracle financial system ; when we run the application which use Java the I.O on the Hdds become very high and the system almost hang ; could any one help us in this issue what should we check and how to solve such problem

Hi Fadia ,

Welcome to forum .

I will suggest you a heap and thread dump analyser ( from IBM site) for the Java process ........it will clearly show if you have java threads that may have been waiting , if at all any .In addition to this ,an incorrectly configured JVM paramaters in application server , can adversely affect performance. It's best to cut and paste the usage o/p ( from top , glance) to application people....and have them look at it.

A dead array controller battery will slow the array down - check with sautil/saconfig.
