Hi.
I got a strange message on the display after installing CA-unicenter 2.4 and tuning the paramters:

Pid 582 received a SIGSEGV for stack growth failure.
Possible causes: insufficient memory or swap space,
or stack size exceeded maxssiz.

This message occurs at login and when I start SAM.

This is a K570 running HPUX 11.i.
My memory is 2.3 GB

Hi,
Looks like your process tried to grab more memory than the kernel allows.
Increasing the kernel parameter maxssiz should fix it.

Well, thanx but the max size if this parameter equals 401604608 = 0x17F00000

I have also set the maxssiz_64bit to max whithout any luck.

1. The man page of signal says

2. In our system we have the following settings for maxdsize

Parameter: maxdsiz
Value: 0XC0000000
Default: 0x04000000
Minimum: -
Module: -

try checking

#kmtune -l |more
