Hi Expert,

I still looking iso image/virtual machine to be enable me to execute my "home lab" hp-ux.

Guys do you have any experience installing this OS in laptop (virtual) or in home?

Please guide me how to make this complete and where i can download iso/virtual or what ever resources

Hi,
what are you trying to do? HP-UX only runs on PA-RISC or Itanium systems. You can't emulate hp-ux so far....

As said, you need a HP9000 or Integrity server or workstation in order to run HP-UX. This OS does not run on any other virtual platform.

Well, maybe you can find on the internet some free/paid shells for hp-ux. You can also buy some old hp workstation. When I started learning hp-ux basics, I bought an old hp C180 workstation with hp-ux... You can buy some on e-bay etc.

The sandbox is nice. I've requested and obtained it in the past.

You get full control. Nice.But it is for a limited time frame, and you have to explain.

It would be really nice if there one of those VM's available for simple user access, with little or no signup hassle, and longish signup duration. Yes, Just like the old 'testdrive'

That should be a nice low cost, high visible, goodwill creating gesture.

I've asked, but they seem to prefer to please a few customers all the way, skipping the step to please many customers some.

Why not go Itanium?

I've bought nicely working RX2600's on Ebay for less than $200, with some luck

There are resellers out there, like Puget Sound which at times sell basic RX2600 configs for just over $300 ( http://integrityservers.blogspot.com/2011/05/integrity-rx2600-server.html )
