      <description>Hello all&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am trying to create new logical volume on vg01 using sam&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But I am receiving the attached error message &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;HP-Server Information&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Model: HP9000/rp7410&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;OS: 11i&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;64 bits&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;II Processors&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;MC-Service Guard&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you with best regards&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Friend &lt;BR /&gt;does not use sam it and yes the command lvcreate is easy  to create lvols</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;curious....you ran SAM on ora_hp1 and is trying to create a logical volume on ora_hp2???&lt;BR /&gt;Pardon, probably something misses me...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try to just go on command line of ora_hp2 system and run the lvcreate command, for example:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvcreate -L 200 -n lvol1 /dev/vg01&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This command does create a logical volume named lvol1 with size of 200Mb within vg01.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Good luck.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Fabio</description>

      <description>Thanks for all &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Dear Fabio Ettore &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;No I am creating lv on node orahp_01 on it's volume group vg01&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would like to ask ,if I create the new lv &lt;BR /&gt;is it a  mast for me to use vgexport'd and reimported on the other nodes to recreate the  map file of the VG ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you with best regards</description>
