Hi all. I have a server that is running VXVM 4.1 and powerpath 4.5. I unmasked/unmapped an emc LUN from the server, and deported the disk group, then did a vxdisk rm disk_device.

Also removed the device from powerpath, and deleted device out of /etc/vx/disk.info.

Even removed all of the device paths from /dev/dsk, /dev/rdsk/, dev/vx/dmp, and dev/vx/rdmp. But whenever I do a vxdctl enable, veritas still shows the device as devicename error.

I know this isn't really causing any problems, and should be cleaned up on a reboot.

If I run vxdmpadm getsubpaths dmpnodename=c1t2d10 I see output of the following...

NAME         STATE[A]   PATH-TYPE[M] CTLR-NAME  ENCLR-TYPE   ENCLR-NAME    ATTRS
================================================================================
c5t1d37s2    DISABLED     -          c5         EMC          EMC0             -
c4t1d37s2    DISABLED     -          c4         EMC          EMC0             -

I can manually remove device paths, but vxdctl enable just causes them to be rebuilt.

Any Idea as to how I can completely remove reference to these devices using vxvm or vxdmpadm?
