      <title>nfs sharing issue</title>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have shared home directory through nfs but it is not showing when i am firing command "showmount". Steps i followed to configure nfs&lt;BR /&gt; 1. Edit the /etc/exports file&lt;BR /&gt;# cat /etc/exports&lt;BR /&gt;/home  -ro&lt;BR /&gt;2.use the exportfs -a command to export the fs.&lt;BR /&gt;3.edit the /etc/rc.config.d/nfsconf file &lt;BR /&gt;NFS_SERVER=1&lt;BR /&gt;PCNFS_SERVER=0&lt;BR /&gt;START_NFSLOGD=0&lt;BR /&gt;START_MOUNTD=1&lt;BR /&gt;MOUNTD_OPTIONS=""&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;4.# /sbin/init.d/nfs.core start&lt;BR /&gt;    Starting NFS CORE networking&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;        rpcbind already started, using pid: 956&lt;BR /&gt;# /sbin/init.d/nfs.server start&lt;BR /&gt;    Starting NFS SERVER subsystem&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;    Reading in /etc/dfs/dfstab&lt;BR /&gt;    Starting up the mount daemon&lt;BR /&gt;        rpc.mountd already started, using pid: 1847&lt;BR /&gt;    Starting up the NFS server daemon&lt;BR /&gt;        nfsd already started, using pid: 1853&lt;BR /&gt;      Starting up nfsmapid daemon&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When i am firing to showmount it is not giving any o/p.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# showmount&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pls let me know where i am wrong in configuring nfs server?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Appreciaitng your quick response.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>&amp;gt;&amp;gt;# /sbin/init.d/nfs.server start&lt;BR /&gt;Starting NFS SERVER subsystem&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;Reading in /etc/dfs/dfstab&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Looks like this is 11.31 &amp;amp; you are doing as per 11iv1 &amp;amp; v2 /etc/exports&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please edit /etc/dfs/dfstab for 11.31</description>
